New loads of germenium lenses just came in today for processing at the Quest Metals facility! These types of lenses are used in the optics industry particularly for laser optics, night vision, thermal, and infared vision. 🥽
If you're from the optics industry or a business with unwanted germanium-containing items, please reach out to us with inquiries and opportunities. We will help to ensure that you maximize the value of your metal scrap.
Our global reach allows us to serve you whether you’re based in Europe, the USA, the Middle East, Asia, or anywhere else!
These are optical lenses made of polished germanium. Germanium Optics are rugged and resistant to corrosion and are ideal for harsh environments and applications where there is constant exposure to the elements.
New loads of GTD-222 turbine blades arrived today for recycling! These are relatively new type of alloy used as a replacement for FSX-414 developed by General Electric. It is a cast nickel-based alloy used in land-based gas turbine engines. It has excellent tensile strength, and the 22% chromium composition also improves corrosion resistance.
Aside from aerospace and aviation parts, Quest Metals is also now open to accepting land-based turbines. So if you're a business, supplier, or MRO with scrap metals or irepprable parts from these types of equipment, we strongly encourage you to reach out to us to that we can help maximize the value of your materials. We aim to competitive rates and fast payouts for your scrap metals.
At Quest metals, we will serve you regardless of where you are based- whether you’re in Europe, the USA, the Middle East, Asia, or anywhere else!
âť— New lots of exhaust pipes for fighter jets just arrived for refining âť—
These are made from Inconel with gold plating- a high-performance metal specifically formulated for some of the most rigorous applications.
At Quest Metals, we specialize in refining these rare types of superalloys. If you're a supplier or business with unwanted and broken aerospace or aviation parts, please reach out to us so we can help to maximize their value.
We have worldwide services, so we can connect whether you’re based in Europe, the USA, the Middle East, Asia, or anywhere else!
Today, we've received new lots of FSX 414, a General Electric patented cobalt-based alloy, now ready to be processed and shipped to our customers.
This alloy is used for the production of gas turbine nozzles. If you're a supplier with irreparable parts/components from gas turbines, or power generation.
Quest Metals purchases a wide range of various metals so please connect with us so that we can help maximize the value of your items or you can reach out directly to cole@questmetals.com for inquiries and opportunities.
New lots of MAR-M200 arrived for processing today!
This nickel-base alloy was designed for use as a material for jet engine turbine blades in aerospace and aviation. It is creep resistant and retains useful strength up to 1900F making it a high temp alloy.
At Quest Metals, we specialize and procuring and processing these types of alloys. If you're an MRO or business that have unwanted scrap containing nickel, please reach out to us and we can provide you with the best market prices for your materials.
Nimonic 263® is an age-hardenable nickel-cobalt chromium-molybdenum alloy designed specifically to combine good, aged strength properties with excellent fabrication characteristics in the annealed condition. While its strength at elevated temperatures is not quite as high as Waspaloy® or Rene 41, it is far easier to form or weld than these alloys.
Another busy day for the team early into the week. We're refining loads of PW JT9D fuel nozzels today!
These nozzels are from JT9D engines which are the engines commonly found on Boeing 747 aircrafts!
Phoenix Refining is a precious metal refinery that purchases and refines end-of-life materials, equipment, or jewelry. We mainly serve the aviation, aerospace, power generation, and e-waste industries catering to all clients globally! If you're looking to sell materials that contain precious metals, please reach out to us. We can provide free assessments for your materials.
Incoloy 825 is a corrosion-resistant alloy designed to perform well in tough environments. Its high nickel content protects it from cracking caused by chloride ions, while its stable austenitic structure adds to its durability. Molybdenum and copper help it resist damage from reducing agents and acids. Chromium improves its resistance to oxidizing chemicals like nitric acid, nitrates, and oxidizing salts. The alloy is also stabilized with titanium, which prevents pitting and grain-boundary corrosion after fabrication—especially during welding at high temperatures (650°C to 760°C).
